The YMCA has existed for over 170 years to empower and improve the lives of young people, YMCA Global Study was created from our commitment to Youth and our belief statement: ‘We believe in the power of inspired young people’.
Our courses put an emphasis on educational experience and cultural immersion. We hope to provide Australian university students with the unique and relevant intensive study abroad experiences. By partnering with organisations and institutions from all over the world to ensure that our courses offer students a firsthand experience of what it is like to live, work and study in their host country.

Founded in 1882, Osaka YMCA has been one of the leading providers in education, well being and social services through its 4 foundations for both the local and international communities. The organization is part of a world-wide network of YMCA NGOS, operating in nearly 120 nations and territories. Osaka YMCA has a particularly strong reputation in Japanese language education with its current colleges having over 30 years of experience delivering university bridging training and practical and comprehensive language courses. With enrollment numbers growing year by year around 570 beginner through to advanced foreign students are currently enrolled at the Japanese language school. The Japanese language department offers immersion classes focusing on improving a student’s speaking, listening, reading, writing skills anchoring them to holistic education on Japanese culture and ways of life.
France - Universite Catholique de Lille
Universite Catholique de Lille is one of the largest universities in the French higher education system, boasting 28,500 students, 6 faculties, and 20 colleges and institutes. Founded in 1875 the Universite Catholique de Lille has grown to include 33 research teams, a hospital complex with 700 beds, and a child guidance centre. These institutions share the same educational philosophy based on excellence, humanist values, achievement, and solidarity, and are open to students and staff of all cultures and beliefs. Even though Universite Catholique de Lille is a private university, the university is a not-for-profit institution which aims to make the university’s services available to everybody in order to contribute to both economic and social progress.

USA - Michigan State University
Michigan State University (MSU) Spartans work to advance the common good with uncommon will. The nation’s pioneer land grant university, MSU began as a bold experiment that strengthened higher education and helped bring science and innovation into everyday life. Today, MSU is one of the top research universities in the world – one of the biggest, greenest campuses in the nation – and is home to a diverse community of dedicated students, scholars, athletes, artists, scientists and leaders. MSU’s campus in East Lansing, Michigan is home to a vibrant and diverse community of undergraduate and graduate students. It is a hub for new ideas and perspectives from across the world. At MSU, students grow, learn and engage with the world.
The American Semester Program (ASP), part of the Office for Education Abroad at MSU, offers 3-week Summer Short Course Programs that take place at Michigan State University. Full-time MSU faculty teach each Short Course and design them to be equivalent to 3 US-credits. Throughout the program, activities central to summer-life in Michigan featured, including trips to Lake Michigan and Chicago, Illinois. ASP also offers semester study abroad programs so that students from across the globe can study abroad at MSU and experience American college life.
