Growth Marketing is the perfect course for anyone who is studying Digital Marketing, or Media and Communications. It is also a great opportunity for students who are studying creative writing or entrepreneurship.
This course is an introduction to digital marketing strategies and user behaviour, from content marketing, search, social to analytical tools used to track the success of digital campaigns.
The digital revolution completely changed the way organisations approach their core business from creating products and services, managing customers to marketing and sales. Digital platforms introduce new ways of communication with end customers allowing companies to tailor products and services to customer’s needs in a more agile way. Digital marketing has changed the marketing and advertising landscape, making it faster, more precise, real-time and data-driven. The tools marketers use every day allow them to execute digital campaigns that target audiences across the world much more efficiently and with smaller budgets than traditional marketing.
In this course, students will examine the basic concepts of Digital Strategy, starting from understanding a companies business model, product, customer, market and business goals as well as how to accomplish their marketing goals on digital platforms. Students will also explore different digital marketing strategies and user behaviour including content marketing, search and social marketing and the analytical tools used to track the success of digital campaigns.
Over the course of 3-weeks students will spend 2 weeks in Zagreb, Croatia’s capital city that has been influenced by Eastern and Western Europeans as well as the Ottoman Empire, and 1 week in Šibenik a beautiful city on the Dalmatian Coast founded over 1000 years ago. You will get to explore a number of historical site and beautiful national parks including Krka National Park and the Museum of Illusions.
Participants in this course will also complete a Financing Early Stage Start-Ups Workshop and survival Croatian language Workshop.

Algebra University College is the flagship of the largest private educational organization in Republic of Croatia and the region (Algebra group), present today in more than 20 cities across Croatia.
Founded in 1998, they educate around 20,000 students annually, through various seminars and short educational programs in adult education, while in higher education they enrol more than 300 new students each year.

Zagreb is not only the capital city of Croatia but it is also the cultural and economic centre It is a bustling city with the whole package – culture, arts, music, architecture, and of course amazing food. The city itself is one of the more unique places in Europe with heavy influences from the East, West and Ottoman Empire. Zagreb is also known for its quirky museums our favorite is the ‘Museum of Broken Relationships’.
Šibenik is a city located on the Adriatic Coast where the Krka River meets the sea. The city is almost 1000 years old and contains much of the old town charm as its more well-known neighbors Spilt and Dubrovnik. In the centre of the old town, you will find St. James Cathedral a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site along which is lit up at night along with the port. In your spare time, you can enjoy the beach and views of St. Nicholas Fortress.

You will have your privacy while also having the choice of socialising and partaking in the free events the hostels throw.

Financing Early Stage Start-Ups Workshop
Early stage startups are often linked to high risk of falling into the “funding gap“. This has the potential to kill even most innovative ideas!
This workshop will help you prepare for funding an early stage startup and avoid some of the financial hurdles that early start-ups face, this way, when the time comes for pitching your project to funders (friends & family, venture capital, business angels, crowdfunding, banks, public funds, cofounders, employees) you will be much better prepared.
Croatian Language and Culture Workshop
The Croatian language and culture workshop is a fun introduction to the Croatian language and Croatian history. This course will include lessons on speaking, reading and writing in Croatian and will give you insight into relevant factors of the Croatian cultural identity.

The YMCA Global Study Application Process
Step 1: Apply Now
Click here to complete the online Registration and Application forms. This will give us the information we need to access your eligibility for a program. After you have completed the online application forms you will be prompted to book a time to have a telephone interview with one of our staff.
Step 2: Phone Interview
Phone interviews are usually about 15 minutes and give us a chance to talk to you about your program choice, make sure all the information we have is correct, and talk you through the rest of the application process.
Step 3: Finalising your application
Once you have completed YMCA Global Study will send you an email with instructions detailing how to finalise your application.
Step 4: Receive your acceptance pack
Once your application has been approved YMCA Global Study will send you an ‘Acceptance pack’. This pack will include important documents such as a course syllabus, acceptance letter from your Host University and advice on how to apply for credit with your home university, the pack may also include information on any funding specific to your university.
Step 5: Apply for credit and funding (if applicable)
Now you are ready to apply for credit and funding (woohoo!) – all the information you need will be in your acceptance pack
Step 6: Pay your deposit and confirm your place
Once you have paid your deposit your place on the program confirmed.
